Kauri Labs Limited ("we", "us") operates Matai. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account information: Name, email address, and authentication data provided through our sign-in service (Clerk).
Business data: Any data you paste or upload for analysis, including financial data, pricing data, staff costs, and customer feedback.
Analysis results: The AI-generated analysis output is stored alongside your input data.
Usage data: Tool usage, feedback ratings, and session timestamps.
Payment information: Payment details are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but never see or store your full card number.
We use your information to provide the analysis service, maintain your account and subscription, improve the analysis quality through our skill improvement system, and communicate with you about the service.
Your business data is sent to AI models (Anthropic's Claude) for analysis. This processing is necessary to provide the Service. Anthropic processes data according to their commercial API terms, which do not use your data for model training.
Your data is stored in our database hosted in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney, Australia) region. This is the closest available region to New Zealand. Data is retained for the duration of your account. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI analysis), and Vercel (hosting).
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access your personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, and request deletion of your information. Contact us at hello@kaurilabs.kiwi to exercise these rights.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
